Albert Salgado, director of the South-West Texas Border SBDC Network, attended the ribbon cutting. The office will host classes for locals who want to learn about starting or expanding their company. A six-month class leads to the Zapata Small Business Management Certification, staff members say.

Yael Rodriquez, a rural business advisor with the SBDC Network, will staff the office, located at 910 Hidalgo Street. For more information, click here.
